We never had them at our school in a wealthy suburb outside of Detroit but they did have a separate basement school where they put the trouble makers so a different kind of messed up.

Muting but it's interesting to see that not all of the US had that as a normal. We had active shooter drills when i was in elementary school on top of tornado and fire drills.

We have security, but not cops. Even if there are, they're posts are at the school entrances and not inside the school building. They are occasionally allowed to go inside to patrol a little, but that seems like something they wanna do to relax a bit from standing outside

Went to a private school and didnβt have them. (Post 9/11)I was a low income financial aide kid but many had π°. Wonder why police werenβt used? Also military recruiters werenβt there. Interesting π€

No, in other countries it is very rare to see a cop in a high school. That's the thing about not having school shootings all the time.

As someone in the UK this idea is horrifying to me, I cannot imagine going to school and police being there, it would terrify me. I donβt think police are involved in as many different things here as they are in America, no criticism just pointing out differences
