I made a few mistakes I saw only now. Here's the updated version: shader fix, texture replacement (I just forgot to change one version to another, ahah).

Sorry for that outburst or whinging. I just wanted to share what I have in mind. I admit that this is more of a complaint, and I seem to be hurt or wounded… Anyways, I’m really excited to see what will we see in August.

Though I see that I really lack skills, that my models couldn’t fit the newest style, and players really deserve the best Quel’Thalas they can get. I’m really glad and inspired to see it updated. And yet, it has some shadow (lol, Void).

It may be quite childish, though it really came from the early age of admiring Quel’Thalas even from Warcraft 3, and later in WoW. Just a dream of being one of those who contribute in the thing they love.

To be honest, it really pains me to see glimpses of updated Thalassian architecture… This summer will be really hard for me, not due to PhD thesis and losing weight. But moral burden. It was my dream to update Quel’Thalas. To invest my love and passion in it. To be part of it….

I would really want to see my beloved Quel'Thalas with my own characters. Could @Warcraft help me get it despite my account's region or at least give a chance to pay for the expansion? I want it so much. ;(.

I should start learning Warcraft hand-painting… I don’t think my hands would thank me for the first month, but it should be so.

You may copy same node set to every material which requires environment texture. But be careful! These nodes are to be applied to .m2 models only — other textures use other render techniques.

Here's how it works. You need to open shader editor and select two textures. The top texture is the diffuse texture, of a model itself (NB! You need to extract it with transparency). The bottom texture is for environment texture — usually called as "armorreflect".
