I’ve heard of students who have been dead set on a specialty for the last 3 years only to get their step 2 score back and watch that dream shatter. That shouldn’t be the norm. There has to be a better way.
Meeting MS4s who are waiting for their STEP2 scores to decide what specialty to apply... 3 years of med school and a few weeks before applying deciding what to apply based on 1 test score. Makes me a little sad. I guess P/F STEP1 has made this the new norm. Thoughts? #MedTwitter
