Wonderful time helping out at @Seawildingβs WildSeas Weekend, displaying some of the PhD work happening at Loch Craignish Great to see people of all ages engrossed in the sounds of seagrass and oyster reefs (and colouring!) We also managed to squeeze in some sunny fieldwork βοΈ

Back from 5 weeks fieldwork in Congo. We were recenusing forest plots in northern Congo following a period of selective logging. Thanks to a brilliant team and to @wcs_congo we collected some great data, and I learned a lot. Here are a few highlights: π±βοΈ

Also #smashingstereotypes @EllenHeimpel is currently studying monodominant forests in the Congo Basin. 80% of the trees in certain forests in central Africa belong to one species, Gilbertiodendron dewevrei and predicting their contraction or expansion will be vital in the future.
