Perhaps not all the time, but many times, I think the Church in Canada has forgotten that the crescendo of the New Testament is that God is love. This demands more uncertainty, more humility and more community, not less.

If you're currently unhappy & frustrated with heathcare, education, many aspects of housing and transit, here's your chance to make a change. We the people hold the power. Don't let this snap election, that Ontario didn't want, hold you back from voting #OntarioVotes2025

No matter how you vote, left, right or centre, feels like the right time to come together in unity as Canadians. I'm praying for peace where there is anxiety, a growing sense of unity and stability and the beauty of community. Vive le Canada π¨π¦πβ€οΈ https://t.co/OAx8LqlyVC

Feels like good discipline and practice as a Canadian citizen these days, to keep an eye on the narrative that American owned publications are pushing here in Canada. "What a poor friend we have" might be a better a title.

Those struggling with, or leaving Christianity in Canada, cite the election of Trump & support from Evangelicals as a main reason in this Canadian research: https://t.co/jq2vP6t4CP I'm lameting the ripple effect for the church in Canada. Evangelical vote? Unchanged from 2016.

This little misunderstanding is what happens when Christians are always outraged but seldom curious

We can be Christians today in only two ways, through prayer and in doing justice among human beings. All Christian thinking, talking, and organizing must be born anew, out of that prayer and action. - Bonhoeffer, Letters and Papers from Prison.

#InternationalWomensDay For every Canadian woman who leads as a pastor, priest, planter, academic, theologian, writer, parachurch or ministry leader - thank you. I honour you & your contributions & the cost you undoubtedly regularly pay to lead the church in Canada. #IWD2024

I'm looking forward to this (what I assume will be) challenging and transformative series.

She may not be on Twitter, but she still deserves all the love. What a gift Sarah Bessey is. A true Canadian faith hero for us Jesus followers, out here in the wilderness, trying to find our way. Grab this book, it's worth a listen/read. https://t.co/m7RKcscq0Q

As a yearly discipline, I've read this letter, every year, on this day for many years. A few years ago, I found the audio. Listen to these words. Sit with them. Relevant for the church in Canada today, as it always was. #MLKDay #MLKDay2024 #MLK95

A powerful reflection for the church in Canada from pastor Keitha Ogbogu. "We get to be apprentices to the work that happens on the sewing room floor, watching, listening and observing what must remain and what must be undone." Read her post here π https://t.co/yG8I0KlTjM

Karen and I would likely disagree on a few important matters, but this article challenged & deeply convicted me. Almost 12 years of church & denominational leadership here in Canada has left me with many of the same conclusions. If you've read it, what's your take?
Donβt go into a relationship β or institution β thinking you can change them: I thought for a long time I could help the church change. How foolish. How prideful. https://t.co/ptM2nMZvGS

Blessed are the peacemakers. Swords into ploughshares. Lord, have mercy. #CeasefireNOW
As the Israeli military plunged Gaza into darkness last night, thousands took over NYC's Grand Central Station, staging an emergency sit-in during rush hour to demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the Israeli government's bombing of Gaza.

It's been fun taking this show around living rooms and venues across SW Ontario this week. Did you grow up on a steady diet of Evangelical pop culture? Not sure how to process all of that in 2023, because of <gestures widly> all the things? This one's for us.

Never easy for little orgs. Our commitment to being centred-set has caused a lot of issues for us this year. If you believe in an ecumenical π¨π¦ table that is wide and diverse, would you consider supporting us? Or buy a ticket for someone else? We're thankful for this community.
