I have some news. I’ve been offline for a really long time now. I’m afraid the reason isn’t a very nice one & too complicated to explain on social media so I have written everything up and put it on a website. Please head to to read the full story. 1/4.

As for me, I am still waiting for the outcome from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It is 2 months since the tribunal & the result may be another week yet. That will be 19 months to the day since notification. I only hope the destruction it caused will be worth something.

If you look at the evidence then you really will understand that everything is everywhere and minute quantities of stuff you never knew where there both can, and will, be found. (Cont).

their lives ruined due to factors which are completely out of their control & due to absolutely no fault or lack of diligence of their own. Think carefully whether you, Joe Public, would be at risk of testing positive for something you had no idea about if randomly tested. (cont).

powerful jobs. I say this from shocking first hand experience which I will share when time allows. Strict liability must be adapted. An athlete must be liable for appropriate behaviour and properly avoiding risks, but an athlete cannot and should not be liable and have (cont).

and WADA's absolute refusal to adapt the rules to the changing world in a timely manner that ensures athletes are fairly treated. Contamination is everywhere. The governance at WADA must be completely overhauled as those at the top appear to care only for their lucrative & (cont).

The irony here is that in the greater sporting world I had considerable means&perhaps a little status to enable me to fight thoroughly. The vast majority of "normal athletes" live on the breadline. The biggest problem is WADA's win at all costs mentality and culture (cont).

Pretty clear based on evidence that a) Sinner had no intention of cheating & b) he gained no advantage. Sport loses if athletes in this position are sacrificed on altar of antidoping…& yet many without his means/status, like @elizzybanks, have been.

Thanks @girowomen for the nice memory 🥹 177.5km (incl. neutral) according to my Garmin after almost 100km in a 2up break with @EugeniaBujak . Also won the longest stage of the 2019 Giro 🍾 Very sad not to be there again but I have amazing memories of one of my favourite races 🩷.

Today’s stage is one of the longest in Giro d’Italia Women’s history: @ElizzyBanks won one of very few longer ones (Tivoli, 2020). La tappa di oggi è una delle più lunghe nella storia del #GirodItaliaWomen: Lizzie Banks ne vinse una ancora più lunga (Tivoli, ‘20). 📸 F. Ossola

I am continuing to fight my own case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport against WADA, who have appealed UKAD's decision that I am at no fault. WADA state I should have a 2 year ban and my results should be stripped. They have not yet given their grounds for this appeal. 6/7.

The NADO here is insinuating that *EVERY* athlete should *KNOW* there is a risk before taking paracetamol/ ibuprofen etc. Should an athlete visit a GP before treating a headache or period pain?! What would the GP or team doc say? The NADO is living in an alternate reality. 5/7.

Contaminated. I (and probably you) only became aware this was a risk once I had already succumbed to the same fate. Here is an excerpt from my original submissions regarding some of the human rights issue here ⬇️📷 4/7

the *MEDICATION* is contaminated. It is explicitly stated in the WADA Code that it is the responsibility of NADOs to *EDUCATE* athletes on intentional AND *unintentional* "use" of banned substances. No athlete has EVER received ANY education or warning medication could be 3/7.

"the NADA also believes that the risk of contaminated medication lies with the athlete". I am aghast about this statement. I have not seen the original decision from the NADA, however based upon the press release above, the athlete *is being held accountable* for the fact 2/7.

THIS. IS. MENTAL. If Visma LAB's statement referencing the NADA opinion is accurate then we have a serious problem. Here's why:. This directly contravenes an athlete's human rights. Athletes have NEVER been educated about the risks of contaminated medication. Continued. 1/7.

More details about WADA's appeal in this piece by @tomcary_tel . Unfortunately this appeal is a grand waste of public money. I am determined that meaningful change will come as a result of this.

4/5 that is so rigorously stacked against athletes is righted and that meaningful change will come as a result of this battle. What's next? The case will go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. I'm told this process may take months.

3/5 That is to say, they bury their heads in the sand and carry on regardless. I found out on Wednesday and spent a couple of days feeling very fed up and sad. Today I have turned the corner. I am now even more determined than ever to make sure that this system.

2/5 Whilst scientists, doctors, athletes, lawyers and so many others have read and critically assessed my article and references and engaged in meaningful discussion about the limitations of the current anti-doping rules, WADA's response is typical of their approach.

WADA have appealed. I don't know the basis for their appeal, they haven't stated one. They maintain that I should have a 2 year ban & that my results should be taken away. It is both deeply disappointing yet at the same time remarkably unsurprising. 1/5.
