Update: discharged just a bit ago! Final cause: myocarditis caused by my tonsillitis that I contracted just before the convention, a rare association that can present with symptoms mimicking a heart attack such as chest pain and elevated cardiac markers. No long term effects. 🩵

To try to summarize in short: Yesterday (Saturday) in the early morning hours I experienced a cardiac event only describable myself as someone reaching into my chest and gripping my heart. I immediately went to the ER and was admitted shortly after and I've been here since. 1/

Seeing as I'll be here a bit longer than expected I figure maybe not a bad idea to make some kind of post regarding my current status: Details in thread below, TLDR here for those who wanna know; yes I'm okay and am in no pain, I'm hoping to be out soon! 🏥🐕
