Proud to join the Maasai Festival in Amboseli - a celebration of culture, dance, and community. The event also marked plans for Amboseli National Park’s transition to Kajiado County. Protecting elephants means supporting the people who share their land.

Keira, 55, leads the larger group of the KA family. She has raised 7 living offspring, supported by the wisdom and strength of her family network. Elephants need one another to thrive - and we work to ensure they do so in safe, well-managed landscapes. #AmboseliElephants

Elfrida, born in 1970, is one of Amboseli’s oldest elephants and matriarch of the EA family. Her mother gave birth to rare twins—both survived to adulthood. Decades of research help us track stories like hers and guide science-led elephant conservation.

One of our favourite moments from the field this month! These young calves from the LB family were having the time of their lives in a muddy wallow—rolling, splashing, and playing together.

Craig born in 1972 - the same year our project began- is still going strong over 50 years later. Still seen in musth, he’s a vital part of the population - and a symbol of whats possible when elephants are protected and free to thrive.
