No matter what happens after the votes have all been tallied, it has been an honor to campaign throughout this great state and get to know so many amazing Nevadans.

Today, I had the most surreal experience—casting a vote for “Deborah Westbrook” to serve as Judge in Department 1 of the Nevada Court of Appeals.

I worked with Ann for 8 years at Littler Mendelson and love that we’ve stayed in touch all these years later. Thank you both for coming out on a “school night” to support our local and statewide races!

Sometimes you go to a “meet the candidates” event and the only people you know are the other candidates. Well, I was thrilled to run into my good friends Ann and Louis Koorndyk at the Mountain’s Edge Homeowners Association candidates night on October 20th.

Many thanks to Nevada Police Union President Dan Gordon, who helped us pass out goody bags to the parade crowd, along with Regina Bradley, Phil Dorin, Kate Hickman and her son Henry.

In honor of Nevada Day, I thought I would share some pictures from Saturday’s Nevada Day Parade and festivities in Carson City.

I had a wonderful time at the Valiente Mott open house last week! It was so good to finally meet Mike Valiente, Tim Mott, Nate Quist, and Nicole Bolick and to see my good friend Jim Trummell. It was also great running into John Courtney and Reggie Thomas.

Thank you John Desmond and Michael Feder for inviting me to visit Dickinson Wright’s Las Vegas office and share my vision for the Nevada Court of Appeals.

I enjoyed connecting with voters at the Desert Shores Community Association last week.  Thank you to Pricila Castaneda for hosting such a successful event!

I had a great time getting to know the attorneys at Pecos Law Group last week and talking about the family law issues impacting our appellate courts. Thank you, Paul Lemcke, for introducing me to everyone and for your firm’s hospitality!

Thank you, Larry Wiederhorn, for inviting me to come speak to the residents of Heritage at Cadence in Henderson last week.  I always enjoy letting folks know that Nevada’s appellate court system is so much more efficient now that we have a Court of Appeals.
