Power banks contain lithium-ion batteries which, if damaged or manufactured to a substandard level, can overheat and catch fire. ✈️ Emirates is one of the airlines now banning the use of power banks during flights due to safety concerns. 👇

⚡Many of us don’t think about the condition of our plugs and cables, but regular checks can prevent hazards. ✅ Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the appliance and the plug. ✅ Inspect the plug for cracks or discolouration. These could be signs of overheating.

Since the disposable vape ban came into force this summer, @Biffa has seen an increase in all types of vapes across four of their major sites, with nearly 20,000 more vapes found in these sites in August and September compared to June and July.
