I synthesise and produce high surface area, lead-free, pyroelectric materials that can operate at ambient temperatures. The materias could be designed for use as energy harvesting devices, utilising waste heat or natural daily temperature fluctuations ☀️🌙

Pyroelectric materials generate a charge on their surface when cyclically heated and cooled. That charge can be used to drive pyro-electro-catalytic reactions, such as the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) for the disinfection of water💧🦠

The highlight of the stakeholder engagement cited in UKRI's review was focus groups of PGRs, by NatCen. They gave no detail about the outcomes of these focus groups. Fortunately the report is online, so we can give the rundown on how UKRI ignored every single word of it! (Thread)
