McCall, Warburton, Murty, Caixinha, Beale, Clement……. but aye fuck the guy who won us the league……. went unbeaten, got us competing in Europe again…….cause he walked when not backed. Back whoever gets the gig…. as someone who grew up through 9IAR 55 was just as special.

Was Walter a snake for going to Everton? We needed him back after the PLG bullshit. Jock Wallace for going to Leicester……nope. Heroes and rightly lauded as greats. I understand Gerrard broke many hearts. But let’s not forget he gave us our club back.

And I’ve seen other names who will have my backing a million percent but Gerrard returning would excite me…. it’s an unfinished story and let’s be honest…. since he left (and he seen what was coming) we haven’t competed as we should in Scotland.

Souness had the backing of one of the biggest spending boards in Britain and left for Liverpool but is hailed as a hero. Gerrard is vilified by some for leaving as he did? It baffles me. Appoint him & he instantly has respect of the players and hopefully the backing he needed.

One of my earliest memories is watching us beat Raith Rovers in the Scottish cup in the late 80s and I was hooked for life. Imagine being a youngster at the game today?! We are losing our identity. No wonder they all wear Madrid and Barca kits.
