I’ve seen too many responses to people of color demanding more from Dems with an assumption they want reckless action with lasting consequences. The air of “let ME be reasonable” paints us as irrational in contrast, when it’s people with everything to lose asking you to do more.

I understand the desire to maintain some grace, but most can see we’re beyond that. Let them walk you out one by one as you shout into the halls. It is not unbecoming to let people see that your outrage looks something like their own.

“Dems should’ve done this and that” we shouldn’t need to outsmart people into not voting for a guy whose policies will hurt their neighbors. at some point we have to accept some people don’t care what happens to their neighbors as long as it doesn’t cross over into their yard

Personal news: I've closed the chapter & my time at @USDOL. Serving on @POTUS' campaign and then in his admin under @SecMartyWalsh was an honor and a privilege. To think I used to curl up on my pink chair watching Obama/Biden speeches - I know I've made that little girl proud.
