Effective August 29, 2025, the de minimis exemption for shipping to the U.S. has been eliminated, which means duties & fees now apply to nearly all incoming goods (applies to over 4m packages arriving the US daily) irrespective of value. This affects all & sundry basically.

Not against praise singing or someone's hustle, but these acts continuously show the deep lack of jobs & opportunities in Nigeria. What is even worse is that with the money these boys make from it, applying to real jobs become unlikely. They now have recruits into this vain cycle.

In hindsight, China’s firm stance against the US during all of Trump’s tariff measures eventually led to a more measured response from him & washington. It seems India, Brazil, & others could apply a similar approach (which they're already doing). All parties need work together.
