I still hold that Snively has one of the best designs for a human that isn't Eggman because his design is the complete opposite (short, thin, and green) while still being cartoony enough to fit in. He even translates to the JP Classic art style quite well.
Correction: Rather than have modern anime humans, Sonic should base its non Eggman human designs on retro cartoon/anime styles, preferably taking inspiration from classic American cartoons as well as virtually any Osamu Tezuka character or Lupin III.
