I visited @pbcsd Lake Park Elementary yesterday to observe the Haitian Creole Dual Language program. I walked away thoroughly impressed. I’d love to see similar programs placed in areas of need throughout the School District. Keep up the great work, Lions!! #kidsfirst

I also discussed the District’s investment of $35 million dollars to renovate and restore the Carver site. A town Hall to obtain resident input on additional educational programs at the site will be scheduled soon. Stay tuned.👍🏿

I attended Dr. Adam Miller’s (Chief of Performance Accountability) presentation at this month’s Principal Leadership Summit. I make a point to attend these monthly meetings, as they afford me the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the challenges our schools face.

The @Lakes_FB 2023 football season is off to a great start. Yesterday, they shutout Dr. Joaquin García High School 40-0. I’m looking forward to a bounce back year for the Rams. And kudos to the @LakesOnTop marching band for another exceptional performance. 👍🏿

I'm a tad late sharing this video, but the message is still timely: learn about autism, and make use of the resources available if your child is on the spectrum. #kidsfirst
