Today our co-founder @vkinkaid11 spoke on a panel event hosted by @OrchidProject and @PracticeIndex . She spoke on the law and mandatory reporting duty for healthcare professionals and the importance of survivor-centred care! .See some of the conversation in the thread!👇.
1/3 @vkinkaid11 of @EducationFgm says: “Doctors have a legal obligation & duty to report cases of FGM/C. According to the FGM Act from 2003, the procedure of FGM/C is illegal in the UK, as well as taking a girl out of the UK to have FGM/C performed on them".
