Today with the BADEA Chairman Board of Directors at statehouse Nakasero.We had a good discussion with H.E the President about our priority areas of funding in-terms of Agriculture,manufacturing,infrastructure and wealth creation. BADEA is one of our key development partners.

I Officiated at the closure of the 7-Day Retreat of NRM Leaders for People With Disabilities from East and Central Uganda at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi. While the population is increasing, we should not allow preventable disabilities to increase in number.

The NRM has succeeded in bringing the number down; now people with disability account for only 1.3m. However, we should ensure the number doesn’t go up. Some cases of disability can be prevented by getting rid of polio, measles etc.

I, therefore, call upon the National Disability Council to develop a strategy in conjunction with the Ministry of Health for minimising and eliminating new cases of disability while also concentrating on handling the existing ones better.

It was nice catching up with comrades and colleagues at Amb Katurebe’s daughter give away at his home in Akright City-Bwebajja on Satarday. I thanked him and his wife for upbringing their children well and supporting them with good education.

I met with Prof. Benedict Oramah, the President of Africa Import- Export (AFREXIM) Bank at State House Entebbe this afternoon. We discussed a number of trade & investment opportunities in the country & the region. I thank AFREXIM Bank for choosing Uganda for its regional office.

Led by HRH. @KingNadiopeIV,  we are in Canada for the Busoga Innovation Symposium 2022. We held a successful meeting with AgaKhan representatives at Our High Commission in Ottawa. We discussed how we can alleviate Busoga from poverty through available opportunities. BMB

I represented H.E President @KagutaMuseveni at the Golden Jubilee celebrations for Bukedi Diocese and delivered his contribution of Shs 80 million towards the construction of the Jubilee House to enable the diocese to be self sustaining @OPMUganda @ChurchofUganda_ @ObothOboth

The Europeans brought glass, which unlike plastics is heavy and fragile. If the National Bureau of Standards has ascertained that plastics are safe health-wise with the advantages of being light and durable then you are a miracle to our economy.

I commissioned the Acacia Foundation LTD, a plastic recycling plant located in Matugga, Wakiso District. I commend Mr Tony Nie Hao for contributing to solving the packaging solutions in the country while also helping to protect the environment.

I would like to congratulate the EALA candidates elected to represent Uganda. I thank them for exuding patriotism and having Uganda at heart as they serve the country at the EALA. May God guide you through as you represent the country.
