We would also like to thank everyone that has supported and assisted the ECA over the last twelve months. We are very much a community organisation that relies on the support of volunteers. We hope the festive period is filled with happiness and love.

The ECA does not advocate for indiscriminate development of green spaces, there has to be a sensible and pragmatic approach if we are going to get close to developing the affordable and social housing and the critical infrastructure required for current and future generations.”

The ECAs Planning Lead, Cllr Asa Caton says: “It was pleasing to hear the Labour Government raise the same issue as the ECA when they commented that “Brownfield Only” is not the same as “Brownfield First”.

The ECA continues to have an open door policy as a political party and has offered its ideas/support throughout as we see it necessary to find the right plan for Edgeley and for the Borough to get the homes and social infrastructure we need for families built as soon as possible.

We wait to see what changes will be made to the draft local plan and when the consultation will commence so that people can make their views known. There is a demand for quality, affordable homes of mixed types/tenures across the Borough, not just in the Town Centre and Edgeley.
