In #Ethiopia, I met Amina and her beautiful daughter, Mone, at a @WorldVisionUSA Nurturing Care Group. Here, families learn to cook nutritious porridge and care for their children’s health. It was my joy to feed Mone as she grows strong again.

In 2023, World Vision launched a global campaign to ensure no child goes hungry and we continue to do all we can to raise the resources needed to respond in the places we serve.

World Vision is calling and praying for immediate peace and lifesaving aid to reach the children in Gaza and those living in the most conflict affected areas of the world.

Momina, an #Ethiopian grandmother, taught me what happens when food distributions stop. When a U.S. grant provided quarterly food donations for two years, Momina could save for the future. Now, as she cares for her daughter and granddaughters, they are down to one meal a day.

I met Derartu and little Nanati last week in #Ethiopia, where the young mom told me that food grown and donated by Americans, as well as U.S.-funded education equipping #Ethiopian parents to screen for malnutrition and prepare nutrient-dense porridges, changed their lives.

“I arrived with nothing but fear and hope,” she says, crediting @WorldVisionUSA’s life-saving food support with bringing her peace. Knowing her children eat three times a day and have the energy to return to school, Naney’s hope for their future has been restored.

Nearly three-quarters of a million people remain displaced in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, where conflict and food insecurity press heavily on families. Among them is Naney, a mother who fled when violence disrupted her quiet farming community.
