Trump isn’t popular in Britain. Nor is Nigel Farage. There are pockets of people who love both, but they are relatively small. Britain’s “Trump moment” was June 2016, and that can’t be repeated, mostly because of Brexit’s failure.

Extremely worrying - just to let any residents who follow me know that we've reached out to Safer Neighbourhoods Team to request a police briefing for residents following these incidents on Churchfields and Lowlands Road. Will post again with details. https://t.co/wx19qX6p0a

Two updates - one, the new bike racks are being used! Happy about that😎. And this Saturday we were back in Battels café for our first ward surgery on the hill in a while. I've been away at party conferences but it's good to be back - this place is so beautiful in the autumn🍂🍁

After a sojourn away from the hill, it was good to return and see the new bike racks installed on the High Street. Pleased we could use our ward budget for these🚲🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Great event this week with @LGHFabians. Refreshing to hear such clarity from new MPs and others on the need to build millions more homes - the cost of housing is a blight on Britain and a blight on aspiration and for too long, those in charge have just not got it

Appalled to see this. I know from speaking with others in the Harrow Labour group that the police have also been informed, but understand it is still a very difficult time for many in our community. This thuggery and racism has no place in Harrow (or anywhere).

WE WON! Beyond proud of the hundreds of GMB members at Medirest who stood together and demanded equal pay and conditions. Now they’ve just won huge improvements to their pay and terms at LNWH, including parity of pay which delivers an up to *25%* pay rise for the lowest paid.

Missed this back in June - must have been busy with something! An update from @HarrowOnline about mine and @stevehickman75 'green agenda' for Harrow on the Hill! New trees and bike racks... and hopefully soon a restored water fountain ⛲️

Interesting and positive development. But if Lab HQ are more involved in recruiting staffers, they also need to do more to oversee working conditions in MPs' offices and intervening when there are issues, including to support staff Wrote about this here👇 https://t.co/0VyiJ9fvKt

Very interesting (to me at least) change in approach to MP staffing from the new Labour regime here. Looks like Matthew Faulding et al are trying to create central control over who can be an MP staffer. Wonder if this will be used to affect change towards staffer HR too...

A lot of talk following the #GE2024 about the Tory collapse across London, but not, interestingly, in Harrow, where they increased their vote in Harrow East. I wrote about this during the campaign, might be of interest to some 👇

Figures to bear in mind as you vote: 1 million kids in destitution 3.7 million people with "very low food security" 150k kids in temporary accommodation 1.3 million families on social housing waiting lists 7.6 million on NHS waiting lists Who will bring those numbers down?
