Some career news: This will be my last week as the Sports Editor of The Athens Messenger. I appreciate every opportunity Athens County has given me and the people I met during it Excited to see where I can rise and go to in the business. I’ll never forget my 3 years in Athens.

Two more Louisville scheduling notes, per signed contracts obtained via open records requests: The Cards will host Bucknell in a preseason exhibition. They've also booked a regular-season game vs. Ohio at the Yum! Center. Dates not yet final.
