New 5 year CBA between the ECHL/PHPA should become official today. Hopefully the final language on the salary cap, travel, per diem, holiday breaks, health and safety will be available for all to see. Question: How did the final agreement change from ECHL pre-strike final offer?

Strike Update: - New ECHL/PHPA CBA deal agreed to last night. - Still needs approval by owners and players, just a formality. - Players return to their teams by tomorrow (Monday). - New deal is for 5 years. - Big Wednesday night (New Year’s Eve) games are a go (12 games).

Strike update: ECHL intends to play as many scheduled games as possible during strike. If 2 scheduled teams can roster a minimum 13 skaters, 2 goalies, games will be played as scheduled. If not, game will be postponed. Expect most if not all games scheduled today to be postponed.

No official statements from the ECHL or PHPA this morning regarding negotiations and the ECHL has not officially announced a league-wide postponement of all games, but local reporting and Ticketmaster show games being postponed. Is no news good news are is a strike in effect?

Merry Christmas to all from ECHL Stats! The ECHL is on Christmas break. However, a strike by players (PHPA) is looming as soon as tomorrow. Let’s hope for a “Christmas Miracle.” A strike would be a lose-lose situation; hurting owners, players, and most of all fans. C’MON MAN!
