Last year @DrHudson10,@HB3015 and I published a piece of research. I feel extremely proud and privileged to have written about the EYTS qualification and how it is perceived in the sector. This highlights a need for change πŸ“πŸ‘©β€πŸ«πŸ’ͺπŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ‘Ά..#proudtobestaffs

Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.

Beyond the digging and tasting, this week’s potato harvest helped build cultural capital, healthy habits and real world understanding. 🌍 Learning where food comes from connects children to nature, health, and heritage. #EYFS #CulturalCapital #HealthyHabits #OutdoorLearning

COOKING AND EATING.After preparing the potatoes, the children were so excited to set the timer and wait for their food to cook. We went and collected our food from the kitchen and had a potato feast πŸ˜‹ .Safe to say, home grown potato dishes have been added to our tea menu πŸ₯”βœ¨οΈ

PREPARING.After washing the potatoes,we researched what we would like to make for tea. The children chose bubble and squeak, potato salad, crisps and hasselback. Lots of chopping, slicing and grating, exercising curiosity and hand muscles to prepare tea for the whole class πŸ΄πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³

πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎHARVESTINGπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ.After months of patiently nurturing, the potatoes were ready to harvest! .Teamwork was needed to make sure all the potatoes were carefully pulled up, turned over and dug out without damaging them. So much pride coming from the children in what they had grown!πŸ₯”

We were tending to the vegetable patch this week, the children noticed caterpillars munching away at our broccoli plants. They carefully removed them and wanted to find out what type they were and found they were cabbage whites! They then released them in the garden. πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸ₯¦βœ¨οΈ

Painted pebbles are such a cheap, easy and very therapeutic resource to make!. These pebbles will be used in my classroom for roleplay, writing aids and markers in our vegetable patch πŸ–ŒπŸ₯’πŸ…πŸŒΆπŸ₯¬πŸŒ±πŸ«˜πŸ“πŸŒΏ.#EarlyYears #Homemade #Resources

πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸŒ±First harvest of the year!πŸŒ±πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ.Our children are so excited and proud of what they have grown. A lot of time and care has been given in nurturing the plants. Yesterday we had home grown radishes with our light tea; harvested and prepared by the children πŸ’—.#culturalcapital
