Every time I see someone saying Hyde is a bad manager I think of shit like this. This team had EVERY reason to pack it in: down in the 9th, road trip to NY & BOS looming, hot as fuck weather, storm coming, multiple long as fuck games. But there's ZERO quit.

Ive been unsure of Hyde’s future, had a real bad team for multiple years so you can’t really judge him, but I’ve really come around on him and think he needs to get a shot with this team when it’s good. The decision to give up dh, pinch hit hays, just real good managing to win

Hyde’s not a bad manager. He’s been dealt a bad hand—by design. Rebuilding sucks.
Sadly, when this team is ready to compete, Hyde will likely not be around.
On the old Orioles, Weaver gets a lot of deserved credit, but Paul Richards and Hank Bauer paved the way…

I’ll totally admit that I thought for the first two years of his tenure here he pressed every bullpen button wrong almost every time, but I realize he didn’t have much to work with. He’s definitely earned my respect since last year.

People hating on Hyde I think are also haters on front office and players. They just like to hate 🤷🏽‍♂️
Nothing is ever good enough for those types.

Totally agree. Also the job Hyde does piecing together the pitching every single game with questionable starting pitching and a mixed bag in the bullpen has to be commended. Hopefully that will get easier as the pitching sorts itself out.
