Beautiful morning of getting the calves tagged and fer appeased for auction, then bred a heifer. Because who doesn’t like August calves?

Skye met her first porcupine tonight. She’s very angry about it but no way, no how, is she going back out to the trees. It will be angry barks from the safety of the house 😂 A side note is she handled it 1000x better than Cowdog who acts like he’s being tortured every time.

These two brought their baby bellies home last week. (There’s no way their calves are showing yet, they’re just fat gutted piglets)

Went east with the farmer for a cow check, grass check, and some measurements for a watering system. Executive decision was made to leave the gate open. Cows made the decision to trot a mile and go straight for the gate (because cow logic) so I also got to do some running.

Even the lights from the elevator couldn’t block the Northern Lights last night.
