Last year, Dr. Donjon Bahadur Lamichhane, an ENT doctor at Green Pastures, had the oppurtunity to visit UK and had a productive few weeks which included the Dundee temporal bone course and ENT UK SAS conference. Report from Dr. Lamichhane:

Mike Smith was recently invited to Bir hospital, one of the busiest hospital in Nepal, by Consultant Dr Arun KC and The Dean. For 2 days, teaching sessions of live surgeries (including mastoid surgery and tympanoplasty) and a lecture was provided to the residents there 👂 #EAN

With EAN support Dr Nabin will be travelling to the UK in the summer to enhance his experience and skills, observing leading surgeons at major centres and attending the Dundee Advanced Temporal Bone Course. (3/3)

He has been working under Mr. Mike Smith’s guidance for a number of years and is a valued member of the team comfortable performing most ear operations required at the Ear Centre. (2/3)

Post-operative recovery is a crucial part in surgical outcome and here is Dr Nabin reviewing a patient following an ear surgery. Dr Nabin is one of three highly skilled local Nepali surgeons who are committed to the Ear Centre. (1/3)
