ECPIP director Ashley Koning spoke with @AsburyParkPress about the civic importance of public interest polls, lamenting the closure of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. “It is a huge loss for the state and for the industry in general,” Koning said.

ECPIP director Ashley Koning, in conversation with @NJSpotlightNews, addressed the urgency felt by those running. "The early start in this race is due mostly to the open seat and the large field of candidates on both sides of the aisle," Koning said.

NJ gubernatorial candidates across the aisle have been proactive in their campaign efforts, raising and spending funds at historic levels in the lead up to the March 24 filing deadline.

According to a Rutgers-Eagleton Poll from November, voters are split when it comes to mass deportations of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally – 49% say they are in support (28% “strongly,” 21% “somewhat”) versus 45% who say they are in opposition (18% “somewhat,” 27%.
