Hostels are also using dynamic pricing based on availability and demand, much like bigger hotels. I was in Anchorage, Alaska after my @CruiseNorwegian cruise and paid $70 for a 4-person dorm that was usually around $40. It pays (ha!) to book ahead! ;)
