We already pay heavily into the MTA through taxes and existing tolls, receive little in return, and lack sufficient transit alternatives. With this in mind, I will be reintroducing legislation to exempt Orange and Rockland residents from paying in to Congestion Pricing. (2/4)

Congestion Pricing in NYC has gone live, meaning most vehicles passing south of 60th street will be billed $9 per trip. This new tax-disguised-as-a-program comes at the great detriment of Orange and Rockland counties, a region with a significant number of car commuters. (1/4)

Most importantly, we must take this day to honor those who lost their lives, and those who ran towards danger to give the ultimate sacrifice. Those men and women, first responders and civilians alike, showed the world what strength and honor looks like. We will never forget.

I speak for many New Yorkers when I say I’ll always remember where I was on this day 23 years ago. That day of tragedy will forever be seared into my memory. This is a time to remember the things that unite us - our shared veneration for our state and our country.

We proudly recognized 18 Purple Heart recipients, Gold Star mothers, and other veterans of service. Thank you to @NYSBridge for organizing this wonderful ceremony, and to the West Point Band for providing a wonderful vocal rendition of the national anthem and God Bless America.

I joined Hudson Valley electeds of both parties to commemorate Purple Heart Day at the Bear Mountain Bridge. This was a special venue, because in 2018, legislation by the late Senator Larkin was signed to grant it the ceremonial title of the Purple Heart Veterans Memorial Bridge.
