Virginia Tech inexplicably shoots with 28 seconds on the clock and 22 left on the shot clock. SC then inexplicably pounds the air out of the ball and Meechie tried to make a kick out pass with a second left and gets no shot off. Horrific game management by both teams

We’re only eight seconds into the last minute of this game and we have back to back illegal screens in that 8 second span. Crunch time basketball!!

Big reason SC got back into contention is the fact they’ve made more FTs than Virginia Tech has attempted. However, Meechie just missed two. Big defensive possession in a tie game with 1:28 left…

Mike Sharavjamts has amped it up on the boards and just got the biggest put back if the season so far. With 3:44 left, they have their first lead since it was 1-0 in the first few minutes…

Neo Avdalas still needs to get a little stronger but when VT has him in ball screens, he’s been an incredibly effective play maker

And is basically forcing SC bigs to play one on two in space. SC’s help side defense isn’t rotating well enough consistently to force Tech into making an extra pass

And for an offense that thrives so much on scoring off the pass, VT is determined to make SC beat them with the dribble. Carolina needs to make them pay on the post ups in the second half -VT throwing in a small wrinkle in ball screens with bigs sealing off the guard they screen

VT up 37-34 at half. - SC defensively is giving up way too many boards and still has too many breakdowns off-ball that have allowed easy paint points - VT is cool with letting SC play one on one in high post and for most part, SC’s best looks come from those paint touches…

Virginia Tech is definitely mindful of South Carolina’s catch and shoot three point ability. Not helping on post ups and one on ones from 16 feet out. Sharavjamts and Meechie need to keep winning those battles to force them to start helping and free up kick outs

Pretty simple for South Carolina’s offense. Best shots come from dribble drive paint touches. Best looks they’ve gotten tonight have been once Ellis or Meechie get that paint touch and put two on the ball

Almost halfway through the first half and Virginia Tech has grabbed 50% of their missed shots. That mess will NOT fly this season if you wanna be competitive in your league.

Cleanest three point look the Gamecocks have so far comes off an Eli Ellis paint touch. Don’t think that’s a coincidence.

Really not sure that Carolina could’ve looked more dysfunctional on offense in the first few minutes. Stagnant, getting little to nothing off the bounce and the quality of shots their getting isn’t great

Younghoe Koo just had the funniest field goal attempt of all time. Like laughably bad. Like “don’t let his ass on the plane back home” bad

Auburn’s pass catchers are single handedly killing their offense. You won’t find a worse game from a position group all year….

South Carolina’s 2025 season ended in appropriate fashion. Missing on all of their fourth quarter opportunities and failing to seize the outcome of the game. My thoughts from their 28-14 loss to Clemson at Willy-B. One last time this season ⬇️
