Props to @samkazemian, @Frax, @IQAICOM, and the team for launching KRWT (a KRW stablecoin) as foreign teams. From what I’ve seen, they’re putting serious effort into complying with local regulations. While regulatory compliance is important, much of it can typically be addressed

1/ Korea's ruling party is launching a task force on virtual assets with stablecoins set to be a major focus. The news came today during a press briefing by Policy Committee Chair Han Jeong-ae. Regulatory clarity is coming and IQ is building iKRW the first KRW stable. 🇰🇷

South Korea 🇰🇷 is the 2nd largest crypto market, with KRW trading volumes just behind the US and 3x greater than any other country. KRW stables are going to be the next major category. IQ entered the Korean market early in 2018 and is now building iKRW, the first ₩ stable.
