Every great event has to come to an end. IIOSC 2025 which began 5 days ago was successfully concluded with a valedictory function presided by Dr TM Balakrishnan Nair, Director, INCOIS and Prof. Raleigh Hood, University of Maryland, USA.

A major attraction of the IIOSC-2025 was ECSN Workshop held under the theme “Empowering Early Career Researchers for Collaborative Ocean Science and Leadership”. This session had two invited talks by Dr. Haimanti Biswas, NIO and Dr Nimit Kumar, CIFE

IIOSC-25 opened with plenary talks by eminent scientists Prof. Raleigh Hood, USA; Dr. T Srinivasa Kumar, IOC & Dr. Wahid Moufaddal, ROPME, Kuwait. The talks set the tone for a wonderful culmination of scientific deliberation that enthralled all during the past 4 days. @moesgoi

Day 4 of IIOSC-25 unfolded with session from Industry. The session included reflections by 9 industry partners who also sponsored the conference and moderated by eminent scientists Dr. Greg Cowie, France. These reflections were followed by Panel discussion. Keep following @iioe_2

#INCOIS hosted the IOCINDIO side event on "Strengthening Ocean science and regional cooperation in the central Indian Ocean" alongside the ongoing IIOSC-2025 conference. The meeting was attended by 14 in person and 12 online participants. @moesgoi @iioe_2

Glad to host a 3-member delegation from the AHA Centre, along with officials from NDMA and MEA, at INCOIS today. Discussions focused on strengthening regional collaboration in disaster management and early warning systems.
