In these og games, I believe it’s always best to level up as much as possible while also pushing others to step up their gameplay. Especially in Europe, when it comes to games like MVC2 or Melee, we’re far behind NA in terms of skill. That’s why we need to put in the hard work.
My hot take for today is that if you are beating someone in your local scene in Melee and they keep making the same mistakes, you have an actual social and moral responsibility to teach them. If you don't, you're weak and making your community worse to enable your weakness.

I’ve always helped people improve their game, even when they were ungrateful. Later, some of them betrayed me and still talked badly about me. I don’t really care about playing games, but if I’m far ahead, I’ll give you three (or more) game just to see what level you’re really at
@FictionIRL Smug players acting so annoyed to play someone who is not as good is exactly the reason why I left the community. And I’m not the only one. Everyone acts like the community is so warm and welcoming but literally the opposite is true and I haven’t seen anyone talking about it
