🛟SOS Strategy of the Week: Whittle It Down. Students summarize info from a piece of media independently, then➡️small group, finally➡️ whole class. Students work independently, then.collaboratively, to “whittle down” a list of vocabulary words to most important for understanding.

🛟SOS Strategy of the Week: Vocabulary Stepping Stones🛟.The purpose of this strategy is to introduce academic vocabulary before the viewing of content. Students will listen for identified terms in order to sequence them according to when they are mentioned in the video segment.

I got to help out with the @Connect2Texas programs this morning! Since the theme was #ReadAcrossAmerica-Texas Style, I got to watch providers read books like Buffalo Fluffalo to students. I also got to "meet" Flynn the Wallaby! 🤩
