Coming in December: A VR experience w/physical archives held in The NEXT. Imagine the beach ball Richard Holeton used in the 2000s when he performed Figurski at Findhorn on Acid, modeled as a 3D object & accessible via a Quest 2 & 3, & the Apple Vision Pro

Coming in July. A radio story and an episode connected by the word "Nightfall." The story adapts Issac Asimov's original for radio. A world with six suns prepares for the coming of darkness and the first sight of things called "stars." More info at website https://t.co/4OItbFcmT0

The lab just finished reconstructing Christy Sheffield Sanford's "Red Mona," a net art piece published originally in 1997. The story, based on Guy de Maupassant's "Petit Soldat," unfolds over 45 flash cards. https://t.co/HAKQWeonf9 @WSUVancouver @eliterature

We gave 4 tours today to members of the WSU Advisory Committees members and had the time of our lives showing off the vintage computers and games in the lab. Thanks, @WSUVancouver for including us in this great event!

The @CMDC_WSUV students are working on Deena's uncompleted hypertext, Stone Moons, which she started years ago on Storyspace. It's a massive work, even in its current state, with 6628 hyperlinks. & yes, that is our "Molar Mac" that they are using to access the work @WSUVancouver

Kudos for Vancouver DTC major James Lesperance who was selected for a WSU Vancouver Undergraduate Research Fellow Award. His project, "Programming a Method for Documenting NetProv," allows him to work with @Netprov_RobWit. https://t.co/GriCZKeFE4 @eliterature @WSUVancouver

Happy to let you know that we've added The Rob Wittig Collection to The NEXT. Currently we're presenting the 4 early hypertext works he produced. We've written a grant that will allow us to develop a platform for showcasing his NetProv works in the future.

Week 4 of Women's History Month & we're honoring Marisa Parham. Her ".break .dance" is a mash up of images, video, animation, & text inhabiting “spaces of possibility” around, across, and beyond the screen. We are so pleased to feature it in Vision Unbound https://t.co/kBMMpnfReM

Yesterday we received this wonderful surprise from artist Nanette Wylde. The CD-ROM contains her "flip books" from 1997-2011. The sleeve is handmade as is the insert explaining the art. Loaded in the computer, the icon matches the aesthetic. Look for it in The NEXT! @eliterature
