Some of our brave Sixth Form students took on the trial of the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. The Maths Challenge takes students far beyond the syllabus and challenges them to think in creative and unusual ways in order to solve the problems that are posed.

Our 2nd annual #JeansforGenes Day exceeded expectations! The EIC community raised 1,792€ for DEBRA Butterfly Children charity, which was boosted to an astounding 7,792€ by a 6,000€ anonymous donation. This act of kindness shows our unity and compassion in helping others.

Last week, our school held Student Leadership elections. Elected students now represent their peers, suggest school improvements, and engage in public speaking and leadership. We're excited to collaborate with the Student Council this year.

Year 6 students had an exciting introduction to Secondary #Science with #Chemistry! After learning lab safety, they conducted their first experiment, detecting acids and bases using flowers as indicators. A fantastic start to their scientific journey!

We hosted representatives from Dutch universities and EHL in Lausanne at an exciting Universities Fair. Students explored courses, learned about applications, and got insights into student life in vibrant Dutch cities. Thank you to the Dutch HEC Group for an inspiring visit!

Well done to all our certificate winners in the Intermediate Maths Challenge, with students from Years 11 through to Year 9 obtaining certificate. Special mention to Lia, Mia, Lisa and Wang Yu, who all achieved Gold certificates, placing them in the top 8% of entrants globally.

The Year 11 Drama group excelled in their GCSE exam, performing challenging monologues & duologues from various plays. Admirable commitment & mature portrayals showcased their talent. Congratulations!

Our Year 12’s gave spectacular demonstrations to Key Stage 4 on how Public Speaking should be done. All showcased students recently took Grade 8 Gold Medal LAMDA examinations and their prowess and confidence is boundless.

The EIC Century Mathematics Challenge was launched in January, with the first challenge open to all of Key Stage 3. A winner was selected from each year group, based upon the most tasks completed above the pass mark threshold of 70%. The next challenge is scheduled for March!

Thursday marked a significant day for Year 11 students. After school, parents and students attended a session on Sixth Form life, delving into aims, extracurriculars, and A Level subject choices. The day included discussions with subject teachers to aid this important decision.
