A clean space is a safe space! Consider scheduling frequent lab clean-out days - at least quarterly. Inspections help to keep the lab space clean and pristine and establishing an internal inspections program improves the lab safety culture.

EHS inspects all fume hoods on campus annually. Signs of a fume hood functioning improperly should be reported to EHS. If a fume hood alarm sounds or you feel that the exhaust is not working correctly: ā¢Contact EHS immediately ā¢Do not mute an alarm ā¢Do not continue working
