Centralise Environmental Health functions but not under National Departmental of Health but rather implement an independent āDepartment of Environmental Healthā so we donāt keep on reporting to nurses who donāt understand our scope of practice. @EHPsSA @GautengHealth #HireEHPs

The recent spaza shop crisis in South Africa, exposed widespread health hazards. And in order to formalise the sector, government proposed regular inspection of shops. But that requires health inspectors. A group of them are now marching, demanding more employment in this field.
