2/3I’m now recovering at home and the surgeon is very happy with my recovery I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me over the past months To the surgeons, nurses and all at the RVH thank you to my staff at Diamonds and my friend John Larkin thank you

1/3 Earlier this year I started to have difficulties using my hands and walking unaided I went to the doctors and after scans, X-rays and MRIs over a number of weeks I was diagnosed with Cervical Myelopathy I had surgery in October at the RVH to relieve the pressure on my spine.

I got to know Martin McNeely through twitter then met him on a number of occasions at funerals and in my shop. Martins work for the people of Ballykeel and Ballymena was outstanding unendingly reaching out to help and care for the needy. Rest in Peace Martin a good man 🙏
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rev. Martin McNeely. Marty became a true friend of the Ballykeel community during his time leading the local Presbyterian Church. He showed respect to all and ministered just as powerfully while standing and talking to members of

Until now Covid was the longest period I have had away from the shop I’d forgot about this 2020 story in the @irish_news by Claire Simpson…… I’m spending time going through my mobile phone looking at pictures I have saved it’s a better option than daytime TV 🤪

I was brought up on Tardree grove and the castle grounds were where the Seven Towers leisure centre is now at the top of our street All I remember of the castle is the remains in the early 60s It definitely looked a grand building back in the day …..

In March this year, my niece Caitlin-Rose passed away after she was knocked down after getting off her school bus. Her mummy wants to help other children who need the help of emergency care in Caitlin-Rose’s memory.

Six years ago today I was presented with a cheque in recognition of being in the top 20 newsagents on this roll of honour It was a surprise for a small newsagent I donated the cheque to the Dogs Trust The good thing was you didn’t have to nominate or be nominated 🥂
