100,000 kg? Well, this is good news! That it is only 1/1000th of the plastic is not.
BREAKING: more than 100,000kg of plastic removed from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP). Thank you to our determined offshore crew and supporters worldwide; together, we have now officially cleaned up 1/1000th of the GPGP.

A few years ago, students from @ElmvaleDHS planted some trees in a newly constructed wetland. Today, a new group of students returned to plant native wildflowers. In addition to the Green Heron and Bobolinks spotted, there were hundreds of these little newcomers!
