Last month, @easternahec hosted its 8th Rural Health Symposium. The first speaker was Dr. Alice Bonner of the Age-Friendly Institute and @TheIHI, who said “If we address mentation, medication, and mobility _intentionally_ then the plan is likely to lead to better outcomes."

Friday the two-day Rural Health Symposium at @easternahec wrapped. Talks included age-friendly health systems, PFAS, veterans, emergency services. Oh, and lots of networking. “The thing that sets this conference apart is the collaboration,” organizer Mildred Carraway said.

🔬 Our nine-week Summer Biomedical Research Program (SBRP) for undergraduates wrapped last week with a poster presentation! The SBRP gives students lab experience alongside faculty mentors. AND students get a small stipend for living expenses. 💰💰💰

Last Wednesday our M1s sat through a four-hour American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course. It wraps up with a short test – their very first in medical school! Big thx to our instructors, Paige Tyson and Jessica Cringan.
