Our @SNMA chapter did a pre-medical conference with over 100 folks from Duke, Winthrop, UNC, NC A&T, Fayetteville State and @EastCarolina. Tours and modules, AMCAS and MCAT primers. They even had raffles where they gave away MCAT study materials. #FutureDoctors check't'out!

Public Health students in the Integrated Learning Experience block gave poster presentations both virtually and IRL at the department. “We are getting them workforce ready because they will be going into places where they will be the health expert," said Dr. Elizabeth Baker.

Leadership isn't intuition. You may be born to it but not with it. It's learned, practiced — and it springs from service. We're proud our leader learned it well in the @U.S. Navy.

Do biomedical research this summer at the medical school as an undergraduate? Yes, we definitely have that. And the 2026 application cycle is now open.

Jake Richardson and Alissa Davis met day 1 of orientation. They are planning to marry in June at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill before about 200 guests (bridesmaid dresses Carolina blue) and snag a quick Hawaiian honeymoon before residency. Our match rate is 100 y'all.

Our own Jon Sweetin this month snagged two gold 🏅🏅and two bronze medals at the North, Central American and Caribbean Masters Track & Field Championship, #NCCMA2025. He threw hammer, discus, weight and shot put. At 50, it was his first gold medal in int'l competition. 🙌
