Coaching kids bball tonight. Had one of my SSC hats on. At halftime, one of the refs asked me what kind of biz it was. I told him "stump grinding" and he said "I've got one in my front yard I need ground." Lol, I handed him a business card. Simple game.

Quick stump by the lake this morning. Skid steer? Never heard of her, these tools help ME become the skid steer! 🫡

Drove by this row of stumps yest at a local church, 60+. Met the tree co who said the church didn't want the stumps removed. I called & left the church a VM anyways. The positive? Made a connection who I didn't know existed.

Heading back to this property tomorrow for phase 2. This customer has been one of my best, and he said there will be a phase 3 in the spring!
Yest was as good of a grinding job as you can have: ✅ Wx was 60° and windy ✅ Killer view ✅ No worries of mess ✅ No cleanup ✅ Great customer who has more work for me in the future

As a follow-up to this. I learned a lot about myself going down this road. I don't have the "killer" mindset to make shit tons of money at all costs, and I'm okay with that. I do have tangible ways that I can try to improve my rev next year, and I'm excited to see what comes.

Tree job went smoothly. I'm blown away by what's possible with a mini-ex and saws. '25 recap: $74k rev April-Dec '26 Target: $100-120rev while keeping expenses low. Thanks to everyone who's supported, hoping y'all have a killer 2026, in whatever you're pursuing. Cheers!

Mini-ex and the other guy will be arriving later today. Doing what I can do and running a few trailer loads of debris while I await his arrival. Feels good to be outside again after a few lazy days with the fam. Stoked for 2026!

X Fam, outside of replacement what is the best solution to prevent the loosening of these @AndersenWindows door handles. We have 3 different doors with these handles, and every single one of them does this. At least 1x/mon, I have to re-tighten the set screws.

1st tree job just got approved. A tree guy I've been getting to know over the past 6 months and I are going to do the job and split 50/50. We've loosely discussed partnering up, this will be our 1st test run. $3500: 2 trees, 2 stumps, brush piling and tidying up.

FSD 14 is definitely better in some ways. I've been trying to use FSD more than usual, but I've noticed certain speed change locations take awhile for the car to recognize it. Ie, going from a 35 to a 55mph can take a 1/4 to 1/2 mile to register. Has anyone else noticed this?

Mill work has been sporadic. But, in the past week of mill time, I finally met the property owner who runs the big tree company. He's got a 7015 and a tow behind, but he told me he'd send me small stumps. Today, I met the custom lumber guy in town. Momentum building for spring.

No interest in getting into hanging Christmas Lights, but who has the cliff notes for specific materials needed to do my own home, commercial grade stuff. I'd like to be able to leave them up year round and change colors based on seasons. Thanks!

Stump work has been dead. Property work has been undead. Our previous bridge spanned a different, shorter spot over the creek. Kids love the new option! These little projects bring immense joy.
