The project is part of the 232-acre Grizzly Peak Strategic Fuel Break—a collaboration between the Park District, UC Berkeley, EBMUD, City of Berkeley, Hills Emergency Forum. The goal—5 miles of shaded fuel break along Fish Ranch Rd, Grizzly Peak Blvd, and other key roads.

Crews are thinning trees & brush on 4.33 acres at Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve near Grizzly Peak Blvd. The work includes removal of ladder fuels & large eucalyptus trees to reduce fire intensity & help prevent large-scale wildfires. #EBRPD #WildfireProtectionEBRPD #CALFIRE
