It's a good job we don't have tyres with a track record of blowing up at high speed otherwise this could be a really dangerous corner! Oh wait. Well at least the car can't bounce back off the barrier into the path of another car. Oh.

Ahead of one of the biggest regulations changes in the sport's history, I wrote a piece on how teams might approach the new challenge with the aid of simulation tools:

But out of curiosity, I opened it to see what they had to say. Something tells me their service isn't as effective as they think.

Ok so first of all, I wasn't expecting to get a random mail shot from a cremation company today. Their email address is something of an oxymoron, for starters.

But it's a classic circuit, so it was never designed for cars with this much downforce and we've done our best to make it safe. Erm... But we need another high speed corner on the track, this track barely has any! D'oh πŸ™„

Charles Leclerc went off into the barriers at Turn 22, causing an early end to FP2 Thankfully he was able to get out of the car himself and confirm he was ok #SaudiArabianGP πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¦ #F1

I am currently sweeping broken china off the floor after a sudden, unplanned release of a clamp caused a significant vibration in a bowl due to unforeseen floor contact #Jwst #ALotOfWordsToSayYouDroppedSomething

The James Webb Space Telescope’s target launch date is moving from Dec. 18 to no earlier than Dec. 22 to allow for additional testing, following an incident during launch preparations that caused a vibration throughout the observatory. More details: https://t.co/ALRUp69nsT.

Phew, just caught up on #F1 #BrazilGP! Amazing drive from Lewis to get through the grid! Anyone know why he was starting at the back? Anyway, seems like the Merc was set up really well to make overtakes this weekend, their DRS must be working really effectively.

After 106 races, and 67 race wins, today was my last day at Mercedes F1 team. World Championships are a once in a lifetime opportunity, but being the very best at what I do is something I work towards every single day. My next adventure will allow me to do that even more.

If you ever feel useless, just be glad you're not the guy who pushed a hoover around a hallway carpet on his hands and knees because he couldn't find the switch, only to find out a week later that he was merely distributing moss into lots of little tiny pieces. #SucksToBeMe

I feed the story back to my parents, who are by now in stitches. Then the bombshell. Dad says, "You know that it doesn't actually suck anything up if it's not unlatched at the base, right?" No. No I did not.

Oh well, I'll be damned if I spent ten minutes getting this thing out to be defeated by a latch. So I get down, hands and knees, and push the thing along at ground level. Like, full on rugby tackling this hoover along the floor so it doesn't fall over. At least the job is done.

The hoover is one of these new-style upright-but-detatchable thingies with a million buttons, latches and clips. But anyone can use a hoover, right? Nope. Can I work out how to get the thing to tilt at the base? Nope. Do I cause the whole thing to fall apart while trying? Yep.
