Instead of thinking out of the box, we talked outside: is it possible to reduce the amount of water in the milk? So we can transport less product. It works! But the industry doesn’t adapts this type of innovations quickly. #dutchroots #nvlj #enaj

And there we go into the deep: what impact do various diets have in the methane emissions? Fresh grass grazed has 30% less emission compared to silage fed. But: only in spring, not in other seasons. This has partly to do with sugars. Yes: it’s complex

We’re getting into details now. How much protein in different parts of the diet? How is the protein balanced? How much mais or grass is fed? What part gets out through milk or is in manure returned on land? Saddly cows do lose some nitrogen
