I don't like Tekken 8's lows. Character identity, design, risk and reward have all gone in a questionable direction and I've believed for a while that lows are the reason. So I made a terrible video about it https://t.co/8lzopvQYf7

With Reina df1,2 hit whiff and Leroy 1+2,1+2,1 hit whiff seemingly not actually fixed but only slightly alleviated, I'm assuming that it is an entirely intentional design direction that the majority of strings in Tekken 8 just don't work. Thank you, very cool.

Stuff like this is way more restrained than I would ever expect from T8 moves.

Asuka would never do something like a 50/50, just look at how many options you might get here. "It's not + oB into 50/50" okay but think about how many characters actually coinflip you from something on block. They tend to be 3 or 4-way mixes, although those are really dumb too.

@Harry_Hydrogen That move is just hard to react to in tournaments. I wouldn't call it a 50/50. Most character have options where they are + into stance, and after that, it is a true 50/50. Asuka is doing nothing like that to anyone. I have to approach, and her KBD is ass so she can't get out.

More Smashov shit, dated a couple weeks back. He insists that he's not cheated more than that one time and never on his main, Feng. He is a pathological liar that should not be allowed anywhere in the competitive scene, he cannot be trusted.

I was bored, so, quick little bite-sized cheater exposing for Smashov/SmashovTK. He tries to hide his cheating by being sneaky with it and not ducking absolutely everything, but he's not exactly an intellectual powerhouse. This man sells coaching btw.

For reference, this is what it should look like. I could get T7 footage of Anna's thing but this is just literally how it should work, so, lol

#t8_report Anna's d4 hit stun prevents actions from coming out, such as it being impossible to crouch until d4,1 or its cancel have come out. In prior games, you could crouch instantly regardless of delays. Also d4 visually puts you into crouch but the move does not force crouch.

#t8_report Yoshimitsu's DGF f2 comes out faster than it should if done after NSS 3,1 or heat 3,1.

From the man who brought us "linear means to one side", we have "most means a third of the cast and maybe one out of of all of their 13f moves"

@Warning_I_Spam_ Because if I'm over +3, they move tracks to both sides. I'm pretty sure that's how most 13f moves work. My df1 is the same. Why u stepping when I'm plus?

Anyway, fuck generic df2 and its defenders, they've never played a day of Tekken in their lives, they just spam random launchers until they hit and never have to deal with the consequence of whiff recovery, just like Mishimas with their electric.

Here's some whiff recoveries with no particular agenda of any sort. After all, the risk:rewards of Tekken 8 have been known to be exceptionally well thought out.

#t8_report Alisa's 2,2 has a 1f delay window which only serves to make the move non-natural, which really has no purpose for a punisher like this. Another bug that's been around since launch, I forget if anyone actually reported this with the reasoning for why it happens.

So right brother, keep spreading the good word. It really is shocking just how risky some lows are when you really get down to labbing them.

"extremely rewarding low with no risk attached to it if you try to punish this low you die" ppl these days straight up tell lies, I don't know what to tell them anymore. they think it's a magic move that's easy to use and works everytime without any risk of getting launched lol

Leroy nerfs Worth noting that a lot of people think spike combos should go, and as much as I agree with the sentiment, as long as Leroy LITERALLY cannot do alternative wall combos with any consistency, I can't agree that he should lose his spike.

This post is ONLY for people who want to see Tekken 8 improve overall. If that's not you do NOT respond 😠 Assuming the rest of the cast is also toned down, what are some nerfs you'd like to see for your main? I did some thinking and this is what I got for Alisa

Do people expect Tekken 8 to get reasonable nerfs to just happen out of thin air while every character main out there responds to a strong move being pointed out with "WELL ACTUALLLY, they've always had that/it's not that strong/but the other characters have X"?

But haha you pressed and your hurtbox extended and therefore you deserved to get hit while behind the opponent and therefore you played wrong and are shit I am SO GLAD that this is an opinion held by many sane people and for some reason the entire Tekken dev team

#t8_report Yoshimitsu's 2,2 into KIN is supposed to be -1, but the recovery can be cancelled by moving forward, giving him much higher advantage. This has been reported before, but has not been fixed, despite this being the only KIN transition that has this property.
