This Durisol build on the east coast of Scotland is toasty warm inside thanks to the thermal performance of the Durisol units. The concrete core creates a high thermal mass structure, which absorbs and releases heat, maintaining a stable temperature inside.

We were out in the rain last week checking on the progress of this Durisol build before the 1st concrete pour. Using D365 for the walls will deliver outstanding U-values & high thermal mass. The house has large windows as well as solid floors & will be clad in stone & timber.

This Durisol build in Birmingham city centre will be a four-storey house. So far, all the walls are up to the third course above slab, with dpc installed.

This stunning 30-square metre floating landing was achieved by cantilevering the balcony over a four-metre Durisol lintel. Also, three steel beams were anchored into the concrete of the outside wall above the front door.

We made a site visit last week to check on the progress of these Victorian-style villas in Devon. They're looking pretty smart! Durisol D365 were used for the envelope, below ground & retaining walls with Durisol D250 for party walls. The exterior has been finished with render.

We built some trial Durisol walls for a client. Three of us (in torrential rain) built 16m2 in 40 minutes. That’s the equivalent of 32m2 in traditional masonry where an inner and outer skin are required. Plus its recycled, strong, thermally efficient and comes pre insulated.

We partner with @hickslogistics to deliver the Durisol ICF units to site. Durisol will normally be delivered on a curtain side lorry but we can make alternate arrangements if access is tight. The units are so light that that can be manoeuvred on site with just a pallet truck.

When you're building with Durisol ICF, you only need to use props for openings. Before the concrete pour using plywood as bracing to support corners, cut units, ends of walls etc. will prevent possible movement during the concrete pour.
