Here's an example from the third section of the Report Card, which asks whether our food system adequately compensates those working within it- including farmers and workers throughout the supply chain- for everything they do to bring food to our tables. https://t.co/d7Um8FK0je

We'll see you this time tomorrow for the #GreatBigCrunch! School food programs contribute to children's physical and mental well-being, food literacy, access to cultural foods and academic success. School food procurement can also be an important source of income for local farms

School food programs receive some funding from municipalities and provinces, but this is not keeping up with growing need- in Ontario, funding for Student Nutrition Programs has not increased since 2014, and only 40% of students were reached by SNPs in 2019.

Canada is the only G7 country without a national school food program. After years of advocacy, the Liberal government committed to developing a program in 2021- the Coalition is now calling on the government to follow through and begin funding school food in Budget 2023

It’s incomprehensible just how poorly designed & widely objected Bill 23 is. It's dangerous & unpopular. Yet, @fordnation may do it anyway. In case you’re still unsure what Bill 23 is all about and why it’s problematic on many layers, check out👇article. https://t.co/aDFrNA72lc
