Some really positive meetings last night and tonight, looking at programme support, adult retention and recruitment, finance, first aid training and Young Leader traininf, preparing the way back to a Green Readiness Level. We are #GoingforGreen

Ok here we go again. Inevitable that the start to the year was going to be tough, but it still feels crap. We need to be there for each other and particularly support young people who are really going to need our support for the next couple of months. #bekind

At a time when young people's futures continue to be eroded, it is indefensible that funding that was part of a @Conservatives manifesto pledge is not being honoured. Coronavirus changed everything, including spending priorities, but this is now a higher priority than ever.

As County Commissioner for @durhamscouts I don't do politics, but I have just emailed the 14 MPs in our area to ask for their help in releasing the much delayed Youth Investment Fund promised in the @Conservatives Manifesto. The need is critical - the time is now.
